Discover the Anniversary Edition of The Passion of Darius

The painting on the cover is called Boreas, named after the Greek god of the North Wind. It depicts a young girl being blown by the wind as she gazes at the sea..

Boreas was painted in 1904 by John William Waterhouse and was mostly forgotten for about 90 years. It gained attention when it was put up for sale in the mid-1990s.

I loved it the first time I saw it. The colors and the sad expression of the girl in Waterhouse’s painting were exactly how I imagined Marianne George.

A clear image of a injured heroine, with her calm, quiet beauty as she looked out at the sea. She stood in the strong wind, atoning for an unknown sin.

Then imagine Darius watching Marianne as she looked out to sea for years while he dreamed of making her his wife. It’s Gothic, suspenseful, and steamy as Darius finally gets his wish when she marries him.,

A dominant lover who learns that his lovely submissive wife holds all the power over his heart.

This story is a 180-year prequel to The Blackstone Affair, featuring Ethan and Brynne living at Stonewell Court in Somerset today.

I really love this anniversary hardcover edition and hope you do too.
It’s beautiful inside and out, and the audiobook narrated by Shane East as Darius is fantastic.
