Lately, I’ve felt like I’m speaking into static—words landing somewhere, but not here.
The wrong ears tilt politely, their eyes glazing before my point even blooms.
It’s not that they’re bad people; they just can’t hear the music I’m playing.
And yet…
When I stumble into my people, it’s different.
The rhythm syncs.
The conversation dances without effort.
They finish my sentences, or better yet—launch me somewhere I never expected to go.
I don’t have to explain the whole backstory. I don’t have to translate my excitement.
It just… clicks.
I need more of that.
More rooms where my words are met with spark instead of silence.
More tables where I can lay my thoughts down without trimming their edges.
Because the right crowd doesn’t just hear you.
They see you.
They hand your own voice back to you, louder, clearer, braver.
